Hi, I’m Sofia.
I design ideas, not just layouts.

I’m Sofia, a graphic designer at the start of a big and slightly scary path. I study Advertising & Graphic Design at Humber, and most days I live somewhere between InDesign grids, messy sketches and way too many open tabs with references.

I don’t really believe in design that only looks good. For me a poster, a magazine spread or a logo should think first, then dress nicely. I like projects where there is tension, meaning, a bit of character, not just perfect alignment.

During college I fell in love with editorial layouts, bold posters and brand concepts that feel human. I enjoy digging into the idea, asking annoying questions and only after that choosing fonts and colors.

Design should have a voice, not just a style.

What I care about

Meaning matters
I start with what the work needs to say.

Craft matters
I refine a lot. That’s
basically the whole point.

Clarity matters
I want people to get it,
not guess it.

Process

01
Discover
Research, references and too many notes. Starting broad.
02
Think
Looking for the tension, the human truth inside the brief.
03
Make
Grids, typography, images, chaos, coffee. Iteration time.
04
Refine
Kill my favorite details if they don’t serve the idea.
